STUDY FINDINGS
MILK STUDY
A herd of 90 dairy cows were treated with 2 ozs. of BioVigor per day for a year. BioVigor was supplemented into their feed ration (corn silage, alfalfa hay, grass hay, wet corn gluten feed, and grain; consisting of corn, soybean meal, soybeans, animal protein, minerals and vitamins.
RESULTS
Milk production on average increased 5.5 lbs. per cow, per day, within the first month after BioVigor was added. The study also noted lower somatic cell counts which are a key indicator of lower stress levels. Improved hoof health was also noted during the trial.
OUR RESULTS
The impact of Biovigor to the bottom-line of the dairy is significant. This was measured by comparing the efficiency of milk production before and after the introduction of Biovigor to any ration. The results were consistent with the expectations , and they were significant enough to the dairymen that he did not have to look hard at the data to find benefits.
We have conducted several trials on large dairies in the Southwest with one goal in mind. The effect of Biovigor on Energy Corrected Milk (ECM) conversion. The results were amazingly consistent with expectations and when compared to each trial. The average response on all trials conducted, was that the strong correlation between the addition of BioVigor and the respective increase in ECM, is consistent and is equivalent to 10 pounds of fat corrected milk in improved efficiency.
The potential economic benefit of BioVigor according to the studies conducted in Arizona a few years back, could be as much as $500,000 additional revenue annually for a 1,000 cow dairy. Efficiency is so critical to profitability in any business and to have the opportunity to improve it, these days, is a must on any dairy farm.
